You may have noticed I removed you from my friends. Or you may not have. If you're upset, I really am sorry, but I've been without a computer for almost a year and I realized...I really like it to take up less of my life. But I'd still like to keep up with some things, so I'm trying to cut back on my internet time, and sometimes that involves removing a friend here and there. I might come up with a better solution at a later date, but for now, I hope you don't mind. With luck I might be posting more often soon.

I haven't posted in a while, so here's a big one. Some good, some bad, in the interest of full disclosure. I think I have another sketchbook I need to scan somewhere, too.

Well, the results for the anthology came out yesterday, and I didn't get in, so here's the comic I did for it. Sorry for those who have seen it already.

Sorry for radio silence for so long; I'm still working, and I want to post stuff eventually, but my computer is broken, and I've been too busy to take a stack of paper to the library to scan. Maybe once the quarter is over. On the plus side, not being able to use the computer has increased how much I read by a lot, so that's nice. I just wish I had some more music. Anyone want to burn me a cd of Feist? (or maybe some Johnny Cash, even)

Hope anyone still cares. I can't wait until i can read all the comics I've missed!

Here's part two. Still in progress, I've got to add some spot blacks in and maybe fiddle with stuff, but I thought I'd post it here to continue the story. I'll update stuff later as I fix it.

Woo! I think this might be the first sequence of comic panels I've ever finished that I was proud of. Now that I've scanned it, I think I want to go in and add more blacks so its more obviously night. I was struggling with where to place them before to make it look good, but maybe just the sidewalk could be blacker? I dunno.

Please comment! I suck, but I still need someone to tell me why! Don't you want to be that person?

Here's the other perspective drawing I've got scanned. It is the final, but I don't like it as much as the other one I posted. This one was done by going to the building and doing studies of it, then going home and drawing a picture from it. I wanted to go back to River Street to do more sketches after class, but I got terribly sick and was pretty much out of commission the whole weekend.

Here is a daily comic I had to do for Intro class. It is a little rushed, but I liked the concept.

So, about once a week in my Intro to Sequential Arts class, the teacher gives us a theme to draw a comic about and about 20 minutes to draw it. 20 minutes doesn't really give you a lot of finagling (or art fiddling) time, so it forces us to think and work fast. Anyway, I figured I'd post them even though they're kind of shitty.

Guys, I am honestly scared now to live in the US anymore.

According to Plan - I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness

Me and Melanie are all moved in to our new apartment. There's still a bunch to be unpacked and put away, but its mostly little stuff, miscellaneous stuff that hopefully we can get rid of in a week. We thought we'd be finished by this weekend...but I guess we lost steam.

The apartment's nice. I wish the neighborhood were a little better, but I'll just have to be careful. Its kind of weird worrying about this stuff now. Baby's first apartment! Pretty soon I'm going to have to purchase a drafting table, though. I don't really have a good space to work yet.

Right now I'm stealing internet from a neighbor. We were supposed to get internet last Thursday, but there was a mixup, so now we have to wait until Tuesday. Hopefully when that's set up I can scan in some new drawings and upload them. I've got a few in my sketchbook ready, and once classes start I'm bound to have more stuff...I hope.
